• In order to be “pre-prayered” for the service, there is a time of prayer at 9-30 in the front vestry: you are all welcome.
• Cards are in the narthex if you would like a prayer included in the Prayers of the People. On one side is an entry for a prayer request, the reverse side is an place for you to give a “Praise Report”, that is, if you have had answer to prayer - hearing answers is an encouragement to us all. They may be given to the Steward to bring forward at the Offering.

TODAY Dr. Bill Spencer is leading the service and the guest speaker is Rosemary Wilcox from the Synod Office. Since Graeme is on other duties this day, there will be no Elders Luncheon. 5-30pm the fourth of the Lent discussions. An evening meal will be provided
Sunday 18th March Rev. Monday March 19th - Dandenong Rotary Club is sponsoring a community forum on mental illness at Dandenong H.S. 7pm-9-30pm and will feature Justin Charles (ex AFL footballer) and John Cheetham (Psychologist) This program comes with free admission. See poster on noticeboard in the Narthex.
Wednesday March 21st 10-30am Lent discussion (repeat of Sunday) 1-00pm Devotions at Scott Club
Saturday 24th March - 9-30am Church Council meeting in Vestry Office
Sunday 25th March - Youth group will lead the service
Wednesday March 28th - 7-30pm - Choir practice

LENTEN STUDIES
A 6 week program, “Christianity Explained” is an excellent time to look at the essentials and distinctiveness of the Christian faith and an excellent opportunity to bring those who are exploring the elements of faith or wish to develop their ability to share the faith with others. Sessions are of a Sunday afternoon with a shared tea at 5-30 and go to 7-30pm in the Fellowship area. The other session will be on Wed 28th at 10-30am
NUMURKAH
We need to start thinking about our Parish in Partnership visit for Nurmurkah’s visit to us later in the year. There is a Suggestion Box in the Narthex if you would like to put in any suggestions as to what this year’s program may entail. The visit is being planned for the end of September

• the Keysborough Samoan U.C. - Graeme is providing oversight of this Congregation on behalf of the Presbytery.

• Rev Lauleti of Endeavour Hills, Manusui his wife and their family,
  especially son John in intensive care at the Alfred.

• Rev Alan Matthews and Bronwen as he is inducted next Sunday afternoon into the Innovative Growth Corridor ministry in the Presbytery to work out of Pakenham in the growing areas.

• those who are caring for others - grandparents who are caring for grandchildren, parents for children, children of ageing parents

• those on holidays, about to go - for a time of recreation and re-creation; safe travel and a welcome return.

Moderator’s Invitation to a rural Placements Summit - The Spetember 2006 meeting of the Synod requested that a Summit be convened by the Moderator, Rev. Jason Kioa, to address the long- term issues about lack of ministers in rural parts of the Synod and ways to strengthen church and community in rural areas. This Summit will build on two previous “Days of Listening” and five “pilot conversations” in January/February. The Moderator will hold this Rural Placements Summit in mid-May and the aim is to develop a whole of church response to ministry and placement requirements across Victoria and Tasmania.
