Pastoral Care
The Church Council encourages the development of a strong and regular pastoral
visitation program to all people, but particularly the frail/aged/shutins. The
program of pastoral care is overseen by the Elders within the Church Council
and aims to ensure every person has been linked with a pastoral carer.

Asylum Seekers Centre
Commencing in 1997, this is the Church in action - where justice and mercy meet
in care and service with unconditional love and acceptance. As a partnership
between the Congregation and the Asylum Seekers Program, it is a faith ministry
which aims to impact lives, restore integrity and empower people through the
grace of God. It does this by assisting newcomers to the country (Asylum Seekers
and Refugees) with “bridging
visas” and are not permitted to work. Programs include:
Conversational English classes
Provision of furniture, clothing and household
items
the use of the “Jesus” videos
a Drop-in centre in the Fellowship area.
