We
welcome you to:
LEWE TOLU VAKALOU
(Fijian Congregation)
Our Mission:
Me da muri Karisito,
ka lomanana Kalou kei ira na veiwekani
e na vosa kei na cakacaka |
Our Vision
Me da muri Karisito - not our culture - on earth as in heaven - In
Jesus, God’s reign breaks in to our world, wherever we might be.
ka lomana na Kalou - through regular involvement in worship, prayer,
word of God - reading
study
sharing
and the practice of the spiritual disciplines
kei ira na veiwakani- those with whom we share worship space
work
culture
living
any one God puts in our way on our path.
e na vosa - Fijian and English - using words which reflect a purity of
heart and thought, that are encouraging, caring and loving and show
acceptance of others who speak or express themselves differently from us
kei na cakacaka - Fijian and maintaining the Fijian culture - which is
consistent with our words, based upon our spiritual gifts and offering
of help in practical ways. |

| The Methodist Church of Fiji and Rotuma has commended all Fijians
living in Australia into the care of the Uniting Church of Australia. In
1992, members of the Fijian community formed Lewe Tolu Vakalou in the
belief that it would provide opportunity for the Fijian people in this
outer part of the Melbourne suburban area for Fijian language worship
and a means by which the cultural life could be maintained. On Trinity
Sunday, 2010, the Congregation celebrated its 18th year of being |
